Morning Routine

If you start your day by looking at your phone – you’re messing up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Setting the tone for your day on YOUR terms is SO important. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I work with my clients to create routines and lifestyles to help achieve the goals they have. This starts first thing in the morning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Step 1:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Write down what your ACTUAL morning usually looks like.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Step 2:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Write down what your IDEAL morning would look like.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Example:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Gratitude List⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Workout⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Step 3:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Write down the actions you need to take to make that happen successfully without much thought.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Example: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Put cup out next to the sink⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Leave journal out on the counter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Lay out workout clothes the night before⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you start to try and create those routines, you’ll find other sticking points that need working through – like hitting snooze or various interruptions which is where you may need to get a little deeper into making the habits easier, adjusting other habits to allow for these etc. But that’s a post for a different day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When the morning starts out good, the rest of the day can be garbage – but that initial mindset and YOU time can help you navigate it with a little more grace. ⠀⠀
